Trebnik, (The Needle) is a liturgical book containing the ordinances of the Sacraments and other sacred acts performed by the Orthodox Church in special cases and not included in the temple (public) worship of the diurnal, annual and annual circle.
The book got its name from the word treba, which in the Old Russian language had a sacred meaning and meant: a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a prayer, the performance of a sacred rite. At the present time, the word "treba" refers to prayers and sacred actions performed at the request (according to needs, needs) of one or more Christians in the special circumstances of their life. These include all the sacraments (except consecration), the Eucharist seriously ill at home, prayers, requiems, funeral services, consecration of houses, etc.
