Theotokos. The canons of the Mother of God on every day

The main part of the Theotokos was composed of fifty six canons of the Mother of God intended for daily execution at a small party. In modern practice, they are published as part of the Octoechus, the present edition follows the oldest tradition, when all these canons are brought together in one book - the Virgin. The book also contains the rank of a small Compline.

In addition to this, the main part, several other canons of the Mother of God are given. First two moleb canons were placed, the first small moleben, the second great prayer service.

Further placed Akathist of the Mother of God and two canons from the service of the Sabbath of the Akathist or Praise to the Theotokos. Two more canons of the Mother of God, also translated for the first time into the Church Slavonic language, belong to the Monk Feodor the Studite and St. John of Euchaism and supplement each other if the Canon of St. John the Evangelist. Theodora is meant for praying during various sorrows, the canon of St. John is a thankful, readable from deliverance from grief or healing from disease.
