Crouching in prayer to the Virgin before the icon of Kazan, Orthodox Christians are asking for the healing of all ailments and diseases, protection from attacks of enemies and harassment. The history of this icon tells us about our wonderful its finding after the great fire in the city of Kazan, which is almost half of the city destroyed in 1579. Appearing, then, in the dream of one young girl, Virgin said it should be sought where the miraculous image of her after the fire.
