Archippus - seventy disciples, according to one version, was a relative of St. Philemon. Initially, he was a presbyter Colossian church, and then bishop of Laodicea, and Phrygia churches. On the future activities of the Apostle Archippus survived little information. According to church tradition, he suffered in Colosse in the reign of Emperor Nero for refusing to participate in a pagan festival and bring a sacrifice to Artemis.
