During the persecution of Christians under the emperor Alexander Severus (222 -235), St. Tatiana was caught and tortured. By tortures she was supposed to offer sacrifice in the temple of Apollo. But the prayers of the saint caused earthquake, which destroyed part of the temple with the idol. Angels appeared before executioners and affected by the vision, they fell at the feet of the saint and professed Christ, for which they were immediately executed.
After that, the martyr was stripped naked and thrown into the Coliseum to be eaten by lion. But the beast began to lick her feet, and miraculously grown hair hid the nakedness. Thus St. Tatiana was put to the fire, but the flame did not touch her. Finally, Emperor ordered to decapitate saint.
