A small cross is made of 585 gold. The crucifixion is framed in a floral ornament, which is the symbol of the Tree of Life. Many holy fathers of the Church have compared the Cross of the Lord more than once with the Tree of Life, because it is through the Cross that eternal life is given to all of us.
On the front side of the cross there are traditional abbreviated inscriptions: TsS (King of Glory) and IC XC (Jesus Christ). On the reverse side of the cross, the opening words of the Easter Psalm "Let God Risen", which glorifies the Lord as the Source of Life.
