Saint Myron was a presbyter in Achaia during the reign of the wicked king Decius. He was descended from a noble and wealthy family; was very meek disposition; in his heart Myron always had the warm love of God and people, and led a godly life. The Saint died a Martyr in the city Kisike.
The Holy Martyr Photina was the Samaritan woman who talked to the Savior at Jacob's well. During the reign of the Emperor Nero, who showed extreme cruelty in the struggle against Christianity, St. Photina lived in Carthage with her younger son Josiah and fearlessly preached there the gospel. Her eldest son Victor fought bravely in the Roman army against barbarians, and for his services was appointed military commander in the city Attalia (Asia Minor). St. Photina died in agony, at the bottom of the well where told her to throw Nero because she refused to obey.
