Nicholas the Wonderworker, being a man of holy life, constantly avoided worldly glory and tirelessly prayed to God about the flock entrusted to him and all the people. St. Nicholas often acted as a peacemaker and reconciled warring, defended innocent convicts and saved many lives from death. During the life of this wonderful husband, the Lord created many miracles by his prayers, healing and helping people who asked for protection from the old man. The Church celebrates the memory of Nicholas the Wonderworker every Thursday, with a special hymn, which testifies to the great feat and merit before the Lord of this saint.
