This icon was written by one nun and donated by St. Ambrose of Optina, who called it "a collector of bread." The symbolism of the icon tells us that Our Lady cares about the daily bread for all people. In the years of hunger, people especially prayed before the icon of the "gatherer of bread", which later, the Queen of Heaven has always helped and sent wonders. Church celebrates the memory of this image October 28 (October 15, Old Style).
