A copy of the ancient Ukrainian icon "Archangel Gabriel" (XIV century), Lemkivschyna.

The meaning of the name Gabriel is God is my Strength. Archangel Gabriel told the Virgin Mary that she will give birth to the Lord Jesus Christ. Also in Old Testament he is mentioned several times as God's messenger. Holy Archangel helps people to resist evil and devildom in this world. Soldiers ask his intercession on the battlefield and in difficult situations. Also, Christians often refer to him, asking him to protect them from enemies and malicious people.The icon of Archangel Michael will be a wonderful gift for men and boys, as well as for a loved one.

Manufacturing technology:

In the manufacture of icons technique of ancient monasteries is used. On a wooden base, prepared with gesso, (primer based on chalk and animal glue with the addition of linseed oil) a stencil-old icon of reproduction of the original is applied by a special method.Then iconographer draws divine image with the natural colors, which is an exact replica of the original. Upon final completion of the "figure" , the icon is worked up with a special technique throught wich the icon appears with natural cracks as original vintage icons of the Middle Ages.
