Roman Saint Sophia the Martyr (name Sophia means "wisdom") lived with her family in Milan in the II century, during the reign of the Emperor Hadrian (117-138 ). She had three daughters: Faith, Hope and Charity. These names their mother gave for them, and they meant the most important values in human life. Saint Sophia was a Christian and she made her dauthers believe in God from a very childhood, despite the fact that the outside world was hostile to all who believe in Christ.
