The Law of God

Having endured many publications in Russian and English, the "Law of God" by Archpriest Serafim Slobodsky continues to be the main textbook for the study of Orthodoxy for children and adults for more than half a century. To date, this is the only complete textbook covering all aspects of Orthodox dogma and church life. The "Law of God" is a kind of Christian encyclopedia where all information and concepts necessary for an Orthodox Christian are available and concisely presented. In this edition of the "Law of God" the text of the book is presented in a new spelling, supplemented and richly illustrated. A fundamentally new edition of the famous book is addressed to the widest readership: it can be used by Sunday school students, new converts and those who are only preparing to receive baptism or simply studying Orthodox culture.

For his work on the preparation of the "Law of God", completed in 1957, Archpriest Serafim Slobodskaya (1912-1971) was awarded a gold cross.
