The Holy Martyr Ariadne was a slave, she lived in the 2nd century in Phrygia, in the territory of modern Turkey. Once her master, Tertill, made a sacrifice to the pagan gods on the occasion of the birth of his son. Christian Ariadne refused to participate in the celebration. Only for this it was subjected to beatings and tortures. Then the martyr was thrown into prison and starved, forcing to worship idols. Seeing her inflexibility, the saint was released. When her master again rushed to chase, Adiadna was saved miraculously.
